MCSE Infrastructure (Hybrid Cloud as elective)


Pre-requisites

You need to have the following pre-requisite knowledge and experience to be a successful candidate:

  • A basic understanding of networking fundamentals
  • An awareness and understanding of security best practices
  • An understanding of basic AD DS concepts
  • Basic knowledge of server hardware
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server
  • Experience supporting and configuring Windows client operating systems such as Windows 8 or Windows 10
  • Additionally, students would benefit from having some previous Windows Server OS experience, such as experience as a Windows Server systems administrator.

This track covers the following courses:

  • Course 20740: Install, Storage and Compute with Windows Server 2016  (8 training sessions) - Level 200
  • Course 20741: Networking with Windows Server 2016  (8 training sessions) - Level 200
  • Course 20742: Identity with Windows Server 2016  (9 training sessions) - Level 200
  • Course 20537: Hybrid Cloud with Microsoft Azure Stack (8 training sessions) - Level 300

Course progress reports are submitted to Microsoft to identify Top Students, Students not progressing, and Students who have dropped out.  These reports will have an impact on whether or not you will be invited to future sponsored training. 


 Training delivery

  • The instructor-led sessions will be delivered live via Microsoft Teams (no recordings). 
  • The track will start on 21 Jan 2019
  • You will be required to attend 24 x 2-hour Microsoft Teams training sessions
  • These training sessions will be delivered in the evenings: 18h00 - 20h00 UCT+2.
  • The track will end on 27 Jun 2019.
  • In addition, you will be given access to online labs, videos and courseware (where available).

Post-Application Process

Once this application form has been submitted, you will receive login details for a Readiness online course.  This course will test your basic pre-requisite knowledge, your English comprehension, as well as your level of dedication.

Only when you've successfully completed this Readiness course, will you qualify and be accepted on the MCSE Infrastructure track.
